Description | Job Title: Director, Clinical Nursing Reporting to: Immediate Superior Basic Function: Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, lead, manage and oversee the activities of the assigned Nursing departments by assuming a 24-hour accountability; oversee clinical nursing performance and priority setting underpinned by the development of policy, procedures and guidelines. UNIT NAME: Ward 52 - General Pediatrics Patient Population: Pediatric - 0 t014 years Mixed Gender Hours of Operation: 24 hours / 7 days a week # of Beds: 24 beds Occupancy Rate: 100% PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES: • General Pediatrics NURSING PROCEDURES: • Age Specific Paediatric physical assessment and vital signs monitoring • Assisting physician during procedure • Point of care testing e.g. blood glucose testing • Pediatric resuscitation airway management e.g. suctioning, oxygen administration, respiratory, BP, oxygen saturation monitoring • Tracheostomy care • Administration of monoclonal antibodies • Care of patient on Phototherapy • Isolation procedures • Bowel preparation • IV insertion, fluid administration • Management of Central Venous Catheters • Total Parenteral nutrition administration • Blood and blood product administration • Moderate sedation e.g. CT, MRI, and EEG • ECG • Phlebotomy • Sleep apnea monitoring • Formula and gavage feeding • Management of patient on oral Mild Sedation • End of life care |

Requirements | Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution Master’s Degree in Nursing/Management from an accredited institution Current licensure as a professional registered nurse Specific Certification as required in area of assignment Work Experience: Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ current clinical nursing experience following licensure/ registration in the country of origin, 5 (five) years of which in comparable managerial capacity |
