Hospital | Our Client hospital in Jeddah is a 1000 + bedded JCI accredited acute care hospital providing state-of-the-art medical care for the population in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is one of the most popular locations in Saudi Arabia, a cosmopolitan city with a population of 4 million, excellent shopping, international cuisine and a multicultural workforce. Medical Services at the hospital include: Anaesthesia & ICU (ICU, PICU, Cardiac ICU, NICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging , Medicine, Renal Dialysis Unit, Obstetrics & Gynaecology , Paediatrics , Surgery, Oncology, Home Health Care Program, Outpatients Dept. and Al Iskan Clinics situated off site. In addition, it promotes and advances an understanding of diseases prevention amongst the population. Recent projects include The Cardiology Centre, Nursing College at King Saud University for Health Sciences, Out patient clinic centre, Grand expansion to all Emergency Room facilities, Grand expansion to the Oncology Centre, a new Neuro and Trauma center and a new Paediatric Hospital. The new paediatric hospital has a ten-storey facility comprises 346 beds, including 40 beds dedicated to paediatric intensive care, 15 to neonatal intensive care, and 15 to bone marrow therapy. The hospital’s program also includes an oncology department, a surgery department with ten operating rooms, ambulatory clinics with 84 examination and treatment spaces, and an emergency department with 44 examination and treatment spaces. In order to support capacity-building and medical training, the hospital also comprises education facilities and a conference centre. Description | Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage the services and activities of the assigned nursing unit, including planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care and unit/clinic operational management functions. - Demonstrate knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the area. Maintain high visibility (80% clinical presence) to ensure that patient care activities align with established hospital, divisional, and unit-specific guidelines, policies and procedures, standards, and protocols. - Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other healthcare team members, and staff from other departments. Develop and utilize professional collegial networking. Maintain an open-door policy for unit staff. - Coordinate teaching and mentoring of nursing, medical, and paramedical students, interns, and residents. Work with all healthcare team members in activities aimed at improving patient care outcomes. - Ensure the provision of patient and family education based on needs assessment, readiness, and discharge planning, utilizing appropriate resources. - Identify opportunities for improvement within the unit and develop, lead, implement, and participate in quality improvement processes and activities. Act as a department liaison in nursing and/or hospital committees and workgroups. - Conduct staff performance appraisals. Achieve staff job results by coaching, guiding, and counseling employees. Facilitate training and professional development of staff. - Ensure full compliance of self and staff with all hospital safety precautions, maintaining an updated staff matrix of required recertifications. Ensure the availability and maintenance of all medical equipment and material supplies to meet operational needs within the assigned unit. - Maintain all records related to the operation of the assigned area and generate reports as required. Conduct staff meetings and maintain meeting minutes. Develop staffing plans and work schedules to ensure continued operations. - Serve as a professional role model and resource person for nursing staff. Demonstrate respect, compassion, and cultural sensitivity toward patients/families, hospital employees, students, and faculty. Assume responsibility for personal professional growth, decisions, and actions. - Perform other duties as assigned. |

Requirements | Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution Current licensure as a professional registered nurse Specific Certification as required in area of assignment Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Work Experience: Minimum of 8 (eight) years current clinical nursing experience following licensure/ registration in the country of origin, 3 (three) years of which in specific field/area and in comparable management position |
