| Description | UNIT NAME: Business Center (Ward 66 – WHH) Patient Population: * Postpartum patients with newborns * Antenatal patients for booked elective caesarean section Hours of Operation: 24 hours / 7 days per week # of Beds: 23 Beds PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSIS: * Elective cesarean sections * Post vaginal and assisted vaginal deliveries- complicated or uncomplicated * Post caesarean section – complicated and uncomplicated * Well newborn NURSING PROCEDURES: * Obstetric assessment * Postnatal care * Pre and post-operative care for cesarean section * Breastfeeding advice and support * Postpartum contraceptive counselling * Obstetric emergency care for antenatal and post-partum patients * Newborn care * Vaccination for mother and baby |

| Requirements | Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution Current licensure as a professional registered nurse Specific Certification as required in area of assignment Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Work Experience: Minimum of 8 (eight) years current clinical nursing experience following licensure/ registration in the country of origin, 3 (three) years of which in specific field/area and in comparable management position |
