The SICU is a 5-bed specialist unit providing 24-hour intensive nursing care for patients following major surgery who require intensive monitoring, observation and short-term ventilatory support. SICU nurses care for patients following a range of complex surgical procedures, including: Craniotomy and major neurosurgery Major abdominal surgery Aortofemoral bypass surgery Thoracic surgery Renal surgery Other major surgical procedures requiring intensive post-operative management Post-operative patients with underlying medical conditions requiring close monitoring and intensive nursing care The unit provides focused post-operative critical care for patients requiring short-term ventilator management, intensive observation and prompt nursing and medical intervention following major surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Surgical ICU Registered Nurses looking to further develop their expertise in post-operative critical care, ventilated patient management and complex surgical nursing at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Jeddah.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Eligible for registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience in the relevant specialty following licensure/registration in the country of origin We welcome applications from nurses with at least 18 months of current experience in the relevant specialty. You can be interviewed while working towards the required two years of experience. As the licensing process takes several months, your application, interview and licensing process can progress in parallel while you complete the remaining experience requirement.

Sign-On Bonus – USD 2,500 for a one-year contract or USD 5,000 for a two-year contract.
